At the Keuka Cove House, our mission is to create a place where people can truly unplug, unwind, and reconnect — with nature, loved ones, and themselves. We believe that time by the lake should be effortless and restorative. From thoughtful amenities to welcoming spaces, every detail is designed to help guests slow down, breathe deeply, and feel at home on Keuka Lake.

Josh Brubaker
OwnerJosh Brubaker, owner of the Keuka Cove House, grew up in the small town of Andover, New York — just a short drive from Penn Yan. While his hometown shaped his work ethic, many of his most meaningful memories were created along the shores of Keuka Lake, where his family spent summers on the West Bluff.
Over the years, Keuka Lake remained a constant in Josh’s life. What began as a childhood escape evolved into a long-held vision: to one day own a home on the lake and create a space where others could experience the same sense of peace and connection.
That vision became reality with the purchase of the historic Hart-Scott property. Recognizing both its legacy and potential, Josh set out to thoughtfully reimagine the home—preserving its character while enhancing it with modern comforts and intentional design.
Today, the Keuka Cove House reflects that vision. More than just a place to stay, it is a retreat designed to help guests unplug, unwind, and reconnect—with nature, with others, and with themselves.
Jeb “Jebbers” Brubaker
Security Bark OfficerJeb “Jebbers” Brubaker joined the Keuka Cove House team in a way no one could have planned. In August 2024, his mother, Rosie, was rescued while traveling through Pennsylvania — and to everyone’s surprise, she was pregnant. When her puppies arrived, Jeb quickly stood out, earning his name and a permanent place in the family.
Following in his mother’s footsteps — who proudly serves as Security Bark Officer at a nearby property —J eb was naturally “recruited” to support operations at the Keuka Cove House. He approaches his role with enthusiasm, ensuring that every squirrel, chipmunk, and passing delivery driver is accounted for and that the property remains under close watch.
When he’s off duty, Jeb can usually be found chasing sticks, napping in sunny spots, or charming guests in exchange for well-earned belly rubs. Equal parts loyal companion and spirited protector, he brings personality, warmth, and a touch of humor to the Keuka Cove House experience.
While Jeb isn’t officially part of the day-to-day guest operations, he remains an important member of the extended Keuka Cove House family — and a favorite among those lucky enough to meet him. 🐾
